EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT
Ages 2-4

PROGRAM GOALS
Whole Life Ministries strives to develop the child in every aspect of his or her life. When a child attends an early childhood program the whole child attends. With the child goes not only the mental potential, but the physical, emotional, social and spiritual potential as well. Our program endeavors to support your family values and to allow your child to fulfill his or her maximum potential in all areas of growth.
Mental Development
Some Children learn best through visual stimuli, some through auditory experiences, some through materials they can touch and hold, and others through body movement. The curriculum and activities will provide your child learning opportunities to build literacy and math skills regardless of his/her learning style.
Spiritual Development
Biblical truths are taught through Bible stories, short verses, songs, and Bible-related conversation interwoven into activities and delivered at an understandable level for the age of the student.
Social Development
Children grow socially when they are engaged in activities with their peers. The learning activities will provide opportunities for children to interact with each other, learn through play, and cooperate with others.
Physical Development
Academic learning does not take place in a vacuum. Physical exercise is a must for children to reach their full potential. Throughout the day students take part in activities that enhance large and fine motor skills.
Emotional Development
In order to achieve success with new tasks, children must have a sense of self and the confidence to try new things. Activities have the goal of children feeling successful, developing a love of learning, building positive self-esteems, and an “I can” attitude.
CURRICULUM
Our program uses a blend of WEE Learn and A Beka Book curriculum to best serve our students.
WEE Learn
The WEE Learn Curriculum is a comprehensive learning program using books, music, nature, and toys to illustrate Christian fundamentals. Age-appropriate learning activities are designed to lay a foundation for understanding God, Jesus, the Bible, church, self, family, others, and the natural world.
A Beka Book
A Beka Book curriculum provides high-quality, traditional educational materials that give students a solid foundation for excellence in academics and success in life.
